The REGEN Rail High Power Energy Storage System provides a variety of effective and environmentally friendly solutions for light, commuter and heavy rail applications.
A VYCON REGEN system quickly and efficiently captures a train’s braking energy, and stores it for the next critical power demand—such as for reducing the high peak grid power required for another train to move away from a passenger station.
Its capabilities can also be used to provide voltage support where existing traction power substations can’t support demand. This ability to flexibly shift power back and forth—when it’s needed and where—poses new and exciting opportunities for transit systems to conserve energy and lower operating costs.
