The VYCON REGEN system is an energy storage device, capable of discharging the stored energy on demand. This capability has significant implications anywhere vertical elevator cars are used. During up cycles, the system’s power can be used in the traditional way, but, during down cycles, when significantly less energy is required, the system’s high recycling capabilities allow that unused energy to be stored for use during the next up cycle.
