The promise of wind power has always been limited by the unpredictable nature of wind itself. And while that nature isn’t going to change, we can still change the way we store and transmit wind-generated power. That’s just what the VYCON REGEN system does. It stabilizes and smoothes output power.

In hybrid wind turbine/diesel generator applications that provide power to remote sites, this can effectively:

The VYCON REGEN system is an energy storage device, capable of discharging the stored energy on demand. This capability has significant implications anywhere vertical elevator cars are used. During up cycles, the system’s power can be used in the traditional way, but, during down cycles, when significantly less energy is required, the system’s high recycling capabilities allow that unused energy to be stored for use during the next up cycle. The transitions are seamless and instant—and the energy savings possible are significant.
